Your career information is exclusively accessible to retained executive search and leadership consulting firms who are members of the AESC. Members of AESC are committed to the highest professional practices, acting in the best interests of their clients, candidates and the community-at-large. BlueSteps also has a strict confidentiality policy upheld by the firms to ensure that your information will not be shared with any third parties.
BlueSteps offers members access to our Opportunities page which lists hundreds of executive opportunities, many that are shared with BlueSteps exclusively by AESC member executive search firms. These firms conduct more than 80,000 senior-level executive searches each year. The searches conducted by AESC member firms are typically confidential and never publicly advertised on job boards. Since most executive searches are confidential, search consultants prefer to search the BlueSteps Database, rather than post an open search to find prospective candidates.
AESC Members represent the highest quality firms and are located in over 1,450 offices in 70+ countries. Membership is highly selective and firms commit to high professional standards as set within the AESC's Code of Professional Practice. Clients retain AESC Members to serve as trusted advisors, filling senior level management or specialized professional positions. AESC Members use the BlueSteps database to source potential candidates across a broad range of industries and job functions worldwide.
The International Executive Search Directory is available to BlueSteps Premium Services members. The Directory contains comprehensive and detailed information about AESC member firms and executive search consultants such as company profiles and contact details and consultants by region, industry and function expertise. BlueSteps members can then connect with executive search consultants using information in the database.
BlueSteps core membership is a lifetime benefit and costs USD$289.00 (or regional equivalent). Additional Premium Services are included for your first six months of membership, then renew on an annual basis. BlueSteps members are senior executives, director level through the C-suite, earning at least US $150,000 (or country equivalent). The salary criteria is a benchmark for the type of experience and seniority our executive members possess. AESC executive search firms typically only handle searches that have a minimum first year compensation level of US $150,000 (or equivalent, except in non-profit board searches), so to ensure that we maintain a high caliber database of top executive talent, our service is exclusive to senior-level executives..

Our advanced search tool, as used by member search firms when conducting searches via the BlueSteps database, allows researchers to input key words and phrases within the candidate search criteria that will be matched against information found within both your profile AND resume/CV. Member firms have access to your full career data via the search tool.
